Break the Ice App

Terms of use of Break the Ice App

Welcome to Break the Ice, an app owned and operated by Friends Concept. We’re excited that you’ve chosen to use our app to spark meaningful conversations! By using Break the Ice, you agree to these terms, so please read them carefully.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at support@friendsconcept.com.

1. Who We Are
Break the Ice is brought to you by Friends Concept, a company based in France. Our mission is simple: we aim to help people connect through engaging and thought-provoking conversation starters.

2. Who Can Use Break the Ice?
Our app is designed for everyone! There’s no minimum age requirement, and it’s open to the general public. However, by using the app, you agree that you’re allowed to do so under the laws of your country.

3. What Break the Ice Offers
Break the Ice is a simple app designed to provide you with interesting and fun questions to ask others. It’s all about starting conversations and building connections! For now, that’s all we do—no extra services or features (like user accounts or messaging). Just pure conversation prompts!
In the future, we may add more features, and if we do, we’ll update these terms accordingly.

4. User Accounts (Coming Soon!)
Right now, you don’t need to create an account to use Break the Ice. However, we’re working on adding the option to create a user account so you can save your favorite questions, sync across devices, and more!
When this feature is ready, we may ask for basic information like your name and email. We may also let you sign in with Google for added convenience.

5. Premium Features (Coming Soon!)
Currently, Break the Ice is free to use, but we’re planning to introduce some exciting premium features in the future! You’ll still be able to enjoy a limited set of free questions, but we may offer a premium plan that unlocks more content for a one-time fee or a subscription.
When we roll out these features, payments will be processed via Stripe or Purchasely. We’ll make sure the process is easy, safe, and secure. Refunds will be subject to the policies of these payment providers, and we’ll share more details when premium features are available.

6. How We Handle Your Data
We take your privacy seriously, and we’re working hard to be GDPR-compliant!
Here’s what you need to know:
Analytics: We collect usage data (e.g., which questions are popular, how often the app is used) to help improve the app.
Personal Data: Right now, we don’t collect personal data like names or emails. However, when user accounts are introduced, we’ll let you know exactly what we’re collecting and why.
Your Rights: You have the right to request access to your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it. When the time comes, we’ll guide you on how to do this.
We’re also working on a Privacy Policy to give you full transparency on how we handle your data. Stay tuned for updates!

7. Using Break the Ice Responsibly
We trust that you’ll use Break the Ice to spark fun and meaningful conversations with friends, family, or anyone else you choose. Even though the app doesn’t let you create content, we still ask that you use it respectfully.
If we notice any misuse of the app (for example, through inappropriate behavior in future community features), we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access.

8. Intellectual Property
All the questions and content provided within Break the Ice are owned by Friends Concept. Feel free to use these questions in your conversations and share them with others, but please note that:
You cannot sell, republish, or redistribute the content in a commercial way without our permission.
We reserve the right to change or remove content within the app at any time.

9. Payments and Refunds (When Premium Services Are Introduced)
When premium services are available, any payments you make will be processed through Stripe or Purchasely. These services handle all transactions securely, and you agree to abide by their terms when purchasing premium content.
If you have any payment-related issues, such as refunds or failed transactions, you’ll need to reach out directly to the payment provider, as Friends Concept is not responsible for payment processing.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
We work hard to provide you with a great app, but Break the Ice is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. This means we can’t guarantee the app will always work perfectly, be error-free, or meet your exact expectations.
We disclaim any and all responsibility for:
Technical errors or bugs that may occur.
Loss of data or any damages caused by the use of the app.
In the event that we introduce third-party services (e.g., payment processors), we’re not responsible for their performance. If you experience issues with these services, you should contact them directly.

11. Termination of Use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Break the Ice at any time, with or without notice. This may happen if we suspect any misuse, illegal activity, or for any reason at our discretion.

12. Dispute Resolution
We hope you never have an issue using Break the Ice, but if you do, we encourage you to reach out to us first to try and resolve things. In the event of any disputes, they will be governed by French law, and any legal action will take place in France.
If the app evolves and allows for community interaction, we may introduce a dispute resolution process (e.g., arbitration or mediation) to handle issues more smoothly.

13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll try to notify you if there are major changes, but it’s a good idea to check back occasionally for updates. Your continued use of the app means you accept any updated Terms.
